1-Bromodecane is a chemical compound that contains nitrogen atoms. It is an organic liquid that has been shown to be chemically stable at room temperature. 1-Bromodecane has been shown to have biological properties, such as plant physiology and the ability to inhibit the growth of fungi. The use of 1-bromodecane in plant physiology was found to be useful for studying ion transport and membrane potentials in plants. It also has electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) applications as a cationic surfactant, which can be used for chemical structures studies or reaction solution surface methodology. A study was conducted using plasma mass spectrometry on neuro2a cells to determine if 1-bromodecane could be used as a drug carrier for drugs that are poorly soluble in water.
