Descripción:4-Bromo-2-fluorobenzoic acid is an organic solvent that is used in the introduction of 2-aminoisobutyric acid. The reaction solution is typically heated and contains a small amount of either chloride, sulfoxide, or both. Various analytical methods can be used to determine the yield of the acylation reaction. 4-Bromo-2-fluorobenzoic acid's ligand can be converted to an acid chloride with a Grignard reagent and then reacted with carboxylate to form an ester. This ester reacts with amines to form amides, which are used as pharmaceuticals and intermediates for various other reactions. 4-Bromo-2-fluorobenzoic acid inhibits bacterial growth by binding to glutamine synthetase, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis.
