5-Bis(2-chloroethyl)aminouracil is a molecule that can be used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer. It has been shown to induce antibody responses in mice and to inhibit the growth of mouse monoclonal antibodies. 5-Bis(2-chloroethyl)aminouracil is used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals, including an effective chemotherapy for metastatic colorectal cancer. It also induces aminouracil synthesis in the mouse and is toxic to k562 cells, which are leukemia cells from a patient with acute myelocytic leukemia. 5-Bis(2-chloroethyl)aminouracil has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as an agent against infectious diseases such as erythromycin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
