Descripción:Bopindolol is a beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cardiac and bowel diseases. This drug binds to the beta-adrenergic receptor, which is found on the surface of cells, and blocks the binding of epinephrine or norepinephrine. It has also been shown to have a role in the regulation of immune system function by inhibiting toll-like receptor signaling pathways. Bopindolol has also been shown to inhibit picolinic acid production from tryptophan in human serum, which may be due to its ability to bind protein genes. In addition, it was found that bopindolol inhibits the action of methylamine (MA) on receptors for acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, as well as other receptors such as alpha-adrenergic and histamine H1 receptors.
