It is an amide with a methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) inhibitory activity. N-Boc-aminoacetonitrile has shown to be effective against gram-negative bacteria, such as E. coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, as well as against MRSA. This drug also exhibits strong antibacterial activity against various strains of Acinetobacter baumannii, including those that are resistant to other antibiotics.
