Descripción:
tert-Butyl 3-oxocyclobutylcarbamate is a chemical compound that is used in organic synthesis. It is an alcohol and can be synthesized by the reaction of tert-butanol with cyclobutene. The tert-butyl group can be introduced by the use of palladium catalysts, such as palladium chloride or iridium complexes. This compound reacts with copper to form tert-butyl 3-oxocyclobutenolate, which can be converted to cyclobutanecarboxylic acid by hydrolysis. Tert-Butyl 3-oxocyclobutylcarbamate has been used in cross-coupling reactions with palladium catalysts and in the preparation of carboxylic acids. It also has fluorescence properties and can react with cyclopropane, forming a suzuki coupling product.
