This drug also inhibits amide hydrolase activity, which is involved in the production of nitric oxide (NO) by macrophages. 2-Bromoquinoxaline has also been shown to inhibit glycosidases in vitro, making it a potential therapeutic agent for hyperproliferative diseases. The drug inhibits toll-like receptor 4 signaling in vitro, which may be due to its functional groups.
