These enzymes are involved in cell metabolism and may be responsible for the stimulation of cancer growth. This inhibitor also inhibits the production of kynurenine, which is an important intermediate in the metabolism of tryptophan. The inhibition of these protein kinases may lead to a decrease in tumor growth by preventing cancer cells from proliferating and metabolizing glucose.
