It also possesses a high quantum efficiency and the ability to be investigated by energies. The heteroaromatic ring of 3BP provides it with an electrochemical property that makes it suitable for use in solar cells as well as other applications. 3BP has been shown to transport electrons efficiently due to its phenyl group, which contains both electron donating and electron withdrawing abilities.
