Descripción:1,4-Benzodioxane-2-carboxylic acid is an analytical method that is used in the separation of enantiomers. It has been shown to be a diastereomer with a melting point of 98°C to 99°C. 1,4-Benzodioxane-2-carboxylic acid is an ester of ethyl amides and has been shown to have antidepressant-like activity in rats. The chromatographic properties of this compound are similar to those of phenylacetic acid and it can be used for the separation of phenylacetic acids from other compounds. This chemical also has industrial uses such as being a synthetic intermediate for pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and herbicides.
