2-Biphenyl)di-tert-butylphosphine is a synthetic small molecule that binds to receptors in the body, and has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth. It also prevents kidney fibrosis by inhibiting production of growth factors such as PDGF and IGF. 2-Biphenyl)di-tert-butylphosphine has shown anti-diabetic effects, which may be due to its ability to activate GLP-1R agonists and inhibit pyrimidine synthesis. This drug has been found to have structural similarities with quinoline derivatives and other nitrogen containing compounds, which may provide insight into its binding mechanism.
