Boc-D-Thr-OH is a tetrapeptide that has been shown to bind to opioid receptors and calcium. It also binds to fluorescent compounds, which can be used for the separation of Boc-D-Thr-OH from other peptides. This compound can be prepared by cyclization of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde with an amine. The binding constants and the constant for this compound have been determined using fluorescence spectrometry and plates, respectively.
