- Boc-7-amino-heptanoic acid
- 7-[(Tert-Butoxycarbonyl)Amino]Heptanoic Acid
Boc-7-aminoheptanoic acid is a cannabinoid that has been shown to bind to the CB2 receptor. It has been used in binding assays and molecular modelling studies of the CB2 receptor. Boc-7-aminoheptanoic acid is also an extractant for fluorescent compounds and a reagent for staining. This compound has been shown to inhibit chloride transport in rat ileum, which may be due to its interaction with the CB2 receptor. It was also found to bind to opioid receptors in rat brain tissue.
