Boc-1,4-phenylenediamine is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of nintedanib. It has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity against leishmania and myeloid leukemia cells. Boc-1,4-phenylenediamine also inhibits the production of collagen by inhibiting the enzyme lysyl oxidase in myeloid leukemia cells. The photophysical properties of this chemical have been studied using hybridization and molecular modeling techniques. Boc-1,4-phenylenediamine has also been shown to be effective against cancer cells due to its ability to induce apoptosis through proteolytic cleavage of proteins such as caspases and PARP.
