Boc-(R,S)-3-aminomethyl)piperidine is a ligand that binds to the κ-opioid receptor and can be used as an antagonist. It has been shown to be an antagonist for the μ-opioid receptor, but does not have any agonist or antagonist effects on the δ-opioid receptor. Boc-(R,S)-3-aminomethyl)piperidine is a bipiperidine ligand that has been optimized with regards to its amide group. This ligand can be used as a tool in the development of drugs targeting opioid receptors.
