Descripción:5-Benzyloxy-DL-tryptophan is a tryptophan metabolite that has been shown to have physiological effects. It is formed by the hydrolysis of l-tryptophan by hydrochloric acid, which leads to an increase in extracellular Ca2+ and the production of reaction products. 5-Benzyloxy-DL-tryptophan is also involved in the biosynthesis of serotonin, which is a neurotransmitter that affects mood and appetite.
