Información del producto
- 3-Bromo-2,6-dimethylpyridine
- 2,6-Dimethyl-3-bromopyridine
3-Bromo-2,6-lutidine is a reactive intermediate in organic synthesis. It is used as a ligand to form complexes with metal ions, such as copper and palladium. 3-Bromo-2,6-lutidine is produced by the alkenylation of acetone with ethylene. This reaction produces the alkene and a byproduct. The stereoselectivity of the reaction can be controlled by using chiral ligands or catalysts. Polystyrene was used to synthesize 3-bromo-2,6-lutidine using these techniques.
