Información del producto
- (-)-BTM(2S)-2,3-Dihydro-2-phenylimidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazole
(-)-Benzotetramisole is an aryl aldehyde that is used as an organocatalyst in organic synthesis. It is known for its use in the asymmetric addition of dialkylzinc to aldehydes and ketones. This reaction proceeds via the formation of zwitterionic species, which are stabilized by the presence of benzotetramisole. The catalyst can be prepared from a stilbene derivative and diisopropylethylamine, which is then reacted with phenylacetic acid in the presence of a transition metal catalyst (e.g., Pt). This reaction condition provides a good yield of the desired product with high enantioselectivity.
