Bis-diphenylphosphinoethane nickel dichloride is a compound that is used for the preparation of other compounds, such as phosphine ligands. Bis-diphenylphosphinoethane nickel dichloride is a solid form of nickel chloride with two crystalline polymorphs, one with a monoclinic crystal structure and the other with a tetragonal crystal structure. In order to obtain the desired product, it must be prepared in an orientational process and synthesised at low temperatures. Bis-diphenylphosphinoethane nickel dichloride has been shown to have anti-cancer properties.br>br>
Bis-diphenylphosphinoethane nickel dichloride has also been used to prepare other compounds by cross coupling reactions. This method is effective for preparing compounds that are difficult to make using conventional methods, such as organometallic complexes.br>br>
