Bis(tricyclohexylphosphine)nickel(II) Dichloride is a cross-coupling agent that can be used to synthesize organic bioactive molecules. It is used as a Grignard reagent, and reacts with chloride to form an organochloride. Bis(tricyclohexylphosphine)nickel(II) Dichloride has been shown to react with aryl boronic acids (e.g., phenylboronic acid), chloride, and other functional groups such as tosylates and fluoroarenes. This compound also has the ability to catalyze the cross-coupling reaction of chloroarenes with boronic acids or tosylates in the presence of palladium.
