Descripción:
(-)-cis-2-Benzylaminocyclohexanemethanol is a chiral molecule with two stereoisomers. The optical purity of (-)-cis-2-benzylaminocyclohexanemethanol can be determined using x-ray crystallography, in which the orientation of the atoms and the geometry of their bonds are used to identify the compound's configuration. This technique also allows us to study how intermolecular interactions lead to a particular molecule's stability or degradation. The compound has been shown to form hydrogen bonds with other aromatic rings and has an interaction with vinylic groups.
