3,5-Bis(4-nitrophenoxy)benzoic Acid is a crosslinking agent that is used in the synthesis of polymers. It is used in the preparation of elastomers and gels by copolymerizing with other monomers. 3,5-Bis(4-nitrophenoxy)benzoic Acid is soluble in organic solvents and reacts with amines to form stable covalent bonds. The 3,5-Bis(4-nitrophenoxy)benzoic Acid can be reacted with polymers containing hydroxyl groups or amino groups to produce thermoset polymers. This product has been shown to promote gelation at lower temperatures than standard crosslinkers.
