3-Bromothieno[3,2-b]thiophene is a synthetic chemical compound that has been shown to be an efficient acceptor for organic solar cells. Its optical properties are sensitive to the environment and can be tuned by changing the growth temperature. 3-Bromothieno[3,2-b]thiophene is a benzothiadiazole compound that has been shown to have a polarizability of 2.6 D in the solid state and 2.8 D in solution.
