• Descripción: Benzyldimethylstearylammonium chloride hydrate is a quaternary ammonium compound that is used as an analytical method to determine the total organic carbon (TOC) content in wastewater. It can also be used for wastewater treatment and as an antimicrobial agent. The chemical stability of this product has been shown using sodium citrate, sodium carbonate, and human serum. Toxicity studies have shown that benzyldimethylstearylammonium chloride hydrate does not cause any adverse effects on humans when exposed to vaporized water at concentrations up to 100 mg/L. In addition, this product does not inhibit the growth of common bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. It also has the ability to be effective against bacteria with increased resistance due to chemical treatments or antibiotic resistance.
