Descripción:
2-Bromo-4,6-dichloroaniline is an aniline derivative that has been used as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of other bromoderivatives. It is prepared by the reaction of hydrochloric acid with chloroaniline. The kinetics and ionization constants for this compound have been established using chromatography and ionization techniques. 2-Bromo-4,6-dichloroaniline is not water soluble and can be separated from water by adsorption on silica gel or polydimethylsiloxane. This compound undergoes uncoupling reactions with nitrite to produce bromide ions, which are useful for analytical purposes.
