Descripción:(3-Bromophenyl)acetaldehyde is an antagonist for the calcium channel. It binds to the ligand-binding site of the alpha 2-delta subunit of the voltage-gated α2 δ calcium channels, inhibiting calcium entry into the cell. This inhibition causes a decrease in intracellular calcium concentration, which leads to a reduction in neurotransmitter release and subsequent pain sensation. (3-Bromophenyl)acetaldehyde has been shown to be a potent ligand for this receptor, with high affinity and selectivity.
