• Descripción: N-Benzyloctylamine is a broad-spectrum antibacterial that is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis, as well as other bacterial strains. N-Benzyloctylamine inhibits the activity of aminopeptidases, which are enzymes that hydrolyze amino acids from the ends of peptides. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of peptides in cells, which may lead to cell death by proteolysis. N-Benzyloctylamine also inhibits fatty acid synthase, which is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of fatty acids. This inhibition leads to a decrease in fatty acid production, resulting in a reduction in lipid accumulation within cells.
