Descripción:Benzil dihydrazone is a redox potential agent that inhibits the oxidation of benzil. It binds to nitrogen atoms in the protein and forms a reactive group p2, which leads to the formation of a covalent bond between the benzil and group p2. The x-ray crystal structures of benzil dihydrazone reveal that it has an inhibitory effect on protein synthesis. This drug also has a high affinity for malonic acid (a substrate of group p2) and fluorescence properties. Benzil dihydrazone is used as an apoptosis inducer, with light yellow needles resulting from its crystalline form.
