Descripción:6-Bromo-2,3-dimethoxybenzoic acid is a synthetic chemical that has been shown to have antibacterial activity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the imine group in the bacterial cell wall and preventing its synthesis. 6-Bromo-2,3-dimethoxybenzoic acid has also been shown to be synthesised from 2,3-dimethoxybenzoic acid and bromine. This compound is a benzophenanthridine alkaloid that inhibits protein synthesis and cell division.
