Descripción:1-Benzoyloxy-2-methoxybenzene is a diphenyl ether that has been shown to have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. It inhibits the secretion of pancreatic enzymes, which may be due to its interaction with the hydroxyl group on the cavity of the enzyme. 1-Benzoyloxy-2-methoxybenzene also inhibits intestinal fluid production in rats with ulcerative colitis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit bond cleavage in lysosomes by interacting with the hydroxy group on the cavity of lysosomal enzymes. When applied topically, 1-Benzoyloxy-2-methoxybenzene has been shown to be effective in alleviating pain from abrasions or other wounds in rats and humans. This drug also has a stereoselective effect on benzoate, inhibiting its action at high concentrations.
