4-Bromophthalic acid is a reactive compound that is used in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to bind with cationic polymers and form hydrogen bonds, which helps to remove organic contaminants from the water. 4-Bromophthalic acid can also be used as a monomer in the polymerization of cationic polymers.
