Descripción:(R,R)-(+)-1,2-Bis(t-butylmethylphosphino)benzene is an organophosphorus compound that is soluble in organic solvents. It is a ligand used in catalysis and as a reagent for organic synthesis. The compound is synthesized by reaction of phosphorus with benzene and t-butyl methyl chloride. The product can be purified by recrystallization or distillation. (R,R)-(+)-1,2-Bis(t-butylmethylphosphino)benzene reacts with methanol to produce methyl formate and water. It has been shown to be soluble in degassed solvents such as dichloromethane or chloroform.
