N-Benzyl Linoleamide is a monomer that belongs to the class of fatty acids. It has been shown to have potent inhibition of the endocannabinoid degradation in vitro and in vivo. The biological activity of N-Benzyl Linoleamide is mediated by its binding to the CB1 receptor, which inhibits the activation energy for GTP hydrolysis by GTPase and prevents activation of protein kinase C. In addition, N-Benzyl Linoleamide has shown significant effects on fertility and serum levels of fatty acids in rats, as well as on growth rate.
