1-Bromo-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene is a reactive arylacetylene that can be used for the oxidative cross-coupling of electron rich organometallic reagents with various functional groups. It has been shown to produce high yields of products, and reacts with a variety of palladium catalysts. 1-Bromo-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene is an excellent substrate for cross coupling reactions due to its reactive nature and ability to undergo multiple sequential reactions. This compound has been shown to undergo successful cross coupling reactions with fluorides as well as other biomolecules such as peptides and proteins.
