2,6-Bis(4-Fluorobenzylidene)Cyclohexanone is a curcumin analogue that inhibits the activity of tyrosinase and prevents the synthesis of melanin. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on melanogenesis in cells, in addition to its ability to inhibit Cox-2 gene expression. 2,6-Bis(4-Fluorobenzylidene)Cyclohexanone has been shown to be effective against inflammatory diseases by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Molecular docking analysis has shown that this compound binds to the active site of tyrosinase with high affinity.
