It also has the ability to hydrate and solvate brain tissue. 8-Bromo-7-Fluoro-2-Methoxy-1,5-Naphthyridine is an intermediate for the synthesis of other drugs and can act as an inhibitor of acetamide. The drug was first synthesized in 2005 by Dr. David A. Cushman at the University of Florida. 8BFMN is a derivative of phenylsulfonyl fluorides and can be used to treat traumatic brain injuries, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease.
