This compound is a tautomer of N-benzyl-3-bromo-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide. Tautomers are compounds that exist in different forms, with the same molecular formula but different chemical structures. This drug has been shown to reduce insulin resistance and demyelination in mice models of multiple sclerosis. It has also been shown to prevent or delay the progression of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.
