4-Bromotetrafluoropyridine is a synthetic chemical substance that is used in the synthesis of epoxides and carbonyl compounds. 4-Bromotetrafluoropyridine can be activated with nucleophilic reagents such as phosphates, alcohols, amines, thiols, or carboxylic acids to produce a variety of useful products. It has been shown that 4-bromotetrafluoropyridine will react with acyl halides to form acyl fluorides or acyl chlorides.
