Descripción:3-Phenyl-2-propyn-1-amine hydrochloride is a dopamine β-hydroxylase inhibitor that can be detected in urine. It is used to study the effects of various drugs and chemicals on the metabolism of dopamine, noradrenaline, and other catecholamines. 3PPPA has been shown to inhibit the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes and blocks adrenergic receptors. This drug also inhibits the synthesis of epinephrine from norepinephrine by blocking its conversion to epinephrine. 3PPPA may also be used as a receptor blocker for diagnosis or treatment of asthma or allergic reactions by preventing the release of histamine, which is released from mast cells in response to an allergen, causing inflammation.
