Isoxazole is a reactive compound that is an immune-related drug. It has been found to have a functional group, which has been shown to be biotransformed by microbes. Isoxazole is an immunosuppressant and has been shown to inhibit the activity of the enzyme dehydrogenase. It also reduces blood pressure by blocking the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). Isoxazole has been shown to suppress the proliferation of human lymphocytes in tissue culture and suppresses ATP levels as well as long-term treatment of mice with isoxazole leads to decreases in plasma creatinine levels.
