Descripción

Calcium glycerophosphate hydrate is a coordination compound that contains two calcium ions, one glycerophosphate ion, and four water molecules. This compound has been shown to be an antimicrobial agent with activity against oral pathogens. Calcium glycerophosphate hydrate can bind to the receptors on the surface of bacteria, which prevents them from attaching to host cells. It has been shown that this compound inhibits bacterial growth in human serum and adipose tissue by interfering with glucose uptake.
