5-(2-Chlorophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amine is a broad spectrum antibiotic that has been shown to be effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The chemical structure of this drug is similar to that of ciprofloxacin, which is an antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections. 5-(2-Chlorophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amine has strong antifungal activities against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus but does not have any effect on E. coli or other gram negative bacteria.
