3-Cyclohexylpropanohydrazide (CPAH) is a hydrazide that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are inflammatory mediators. CPAH also has insecticidal activity and can be used as a pesticide in agriculture. 3-Cyclohexylpropanohydrazide is synthesized by reacting an acid hydrazide with benzene. The structural formula shows the phenyl ring and functional groups, such as carbonyl and carbons with hydroxyl groups, which are responsible for its bioactivity.
