Descripción:
N-(4-Chlorobenzyl)propane-1,3-diamine is a potential antineoplastic agent that has been shown to have anti-neoplastic activity in vitro against leukemia cells and human tumor cell lines. N-(4-Chlorobenzyl)propane-1,3-diamine is an analog of cisplatin and binds to DNA at the same site as cisplatin. It also has some structural similarities to the natural ligand for DNA gyrase, which may be responsible for its ability to inhibit this enzyme. This drug inhibits protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes and blocking the release of amino acids from tRNA molecules.
