Cyclopentylethanone is a cyclic ketone that has been studied in clinical trials. It is soluble in water and methanol, but insoluble in ether. The solubility of cyclopentylethanone can be improved by dissolving it in a mixture of methyl ethyl ketones and methyl amides.
