Descripción:
2-[(6-Chloro-4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]propanoic acid is a potent inhibitor of HIV integrase. It is a member of a new class of HIV integrase inhibitors, which are active against both HIV and SIV strains. 2-[(6-Chloro-4-methyl-2-oxo-2H -chromen -7 -yl)oxy]propanoic acid blocks the integration of viral DNA into the host genome by binding to the catalytic site of the integrase enzyme, preventing the formation of an active enzyme complex.
