Descripción:3-Cyclobutylpropanoic acid is a synthetic chemical used in the industrial production of the influenza virus. It is a structural analog of the natural substrate diethyl malonate and has been shown to be an inhibitor of influenza virus replication. 3-Cyclobutylpropanoic acid binds to RNA polymerase and prevents the formation of a functional enzyme complex with ribonucleoside triphosphates, which are necessary for RNA synthesis. 3-Cyclobutylpropanoic acid may be an adjuvant as it enhances the immune response to antigen by activation of macrophages, dendritic cells, B cells, and T cells.
