It has been shown to have significant biological properties in insulin resistance, autoimmune diseases and cancer. 1-Cyclopentylmethanamine binds to adenosine receptors and inhibits protein synthesis by forming hydrogen bonds with the ribosomal protein S6 kinase. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
