Descripción:
Pyrazoles are organic compounds that contain a pyrazole ring. 5-Chloro-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid is an inhibitor of the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), which participates in the pyrimidine biosynthesis pathway. The compound has been shown to be selective for DHODH and other enzymes in this family, such as ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) and uridine phosphorylase (UP). This agent is active against human cells but not against bacterial cells.
