4-(4-Chlorophenyl)pyridine (4CP) is a chemical compound that is used as an antipsychotic drug. It has been shown to have high yields of aldehydes and nitrate, which may be due to the use of catalysts such as palladium or platinum. 4CP has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in vitro by binding to the active site of bacterial enzymes, including oxidases and antibacterial agents.
